Jodhpur dreamin

Updated: Oct 4

When a street shot takes another twist, and I called it Jodhpur dreamin!

In the heart of the city stood an ancient cenotaph, its weathered brown columns rising proudly against the azure sky. The structure was both grand and solemn, a silent tribute to forgotten heroes. Today, it was bathed in the golden light of late afternoon.

Amidst this timeless grandeur, a woman in a vivid red sari moved with grace. Her figure was framed by the rich fabric of her garment, which cascaded from her shoulders and pooled around her feet like a river of crimson. She stood between the columns, her back turned to me, as if she was lost in her own world of contemplation.

The contrast between her vibrant attire and the muted hues of the cenotaph created a striking tableau. The red sari, with its intricate golden patterns, seemed to shimmer against the backdrop of the ancient stone. It was as though she was a living flame, a bright and defiant splash of color in a sea of brown and blue.

The woman’s stillness suggested a profound connection to the cenotaph, as if she were not merely an observer, but a part of the monument itself. The serene sky above seemed to echo her quiet reflection, a silent witness to her solitude.

As the shadows lengthened and the light softened, the scene became almost ethereal. The woman remained a solitary figure, her presence weaving a subtle magic into the fabric of the day. In that moment, the cenotaph was not just a monument to the past, but a stage where history and the present converged, with the woman in the red sari standing at the intersection of both.
